Hamilton Speech Services is looking to hire a full-time Communicative Disorders Assistant and a part-time Speech Language Pathologist.
The successful CDA applicant will see an established caseload of weekly clients in our office on the Hamilton Mountain located at 848 Fennell Ave E as well as virtually. The CDA must be punctual, organized, professional and be passionate about working with children and youth of all ages and abilities. This is a sub-contractor position but has potential to become an employee in the future.
Here are some things we are looking for in a Speech and Language Assistant/Communicative Disorders Assistant:
Three or four year Undergraduate degree and CDA certificate
At least two years experience as a CDA working with children and youth with special needs including those on the Autism Spectrum & neurotypical children on a 1:1 basis
Experience working on articulation, language, phonological awareness, play skills, parent coaching as well as dysfluency goals
Have experience as a tele-therapist
Organize and conduct FUN and CREATIVE therapy sessions in person and virtually
Outstanding oral and written communication skills; able to effectively work as an individual or as part of a team with a willingness to learn
Proficiency with AAC devices including PECS and in the use of computer software and specialized equipment to support client learning such as BoardMaker, Lessonpix and Proloquo2Go
Having experience as an ABA/IBI therapist is a bonus
Rate of pay starts at 40% and is negotiable depending on number of years of experience and job performance. After three months of probation a new contract and rate of pay is negotiated.

Here are some things we are looking for in a Speech and Language Pathologist
Performing monthly/bi monthly new assessments using our vast collection of toys, games and books at our Hamilton mountain office and virtually
Compiling goals to give to CDA
Supervise experienced CDAs and provide feedback when needed
View video check ins every ten sessions per client
Performing joint sessions with client and CDA or re-assessments to update or change goals
Consulting with parents and other professionals
Have access to own standardized assessment materials
Invoice clients yourself or have us do it
Experience:
Minimum five years as a SLP with experience supervising CDAs
Experience with children and youth with Autism, Apraxia of Speech, preschool and school age articulation and language as well as dysfluency and oral motor
